You have a carb or EFI, there is nothing dangerous about carbs, if put together correctly, just like eFI they are fine. Advantages is easier to tune, and generally cheaper. If you dont know about carbs, then you still need to pay someone else to tune it for you unless you like to learn, they are simple, efficient and get the job done.

EFI and carb are both great, just comes to budget and preference.

My take, carb it for a budget, especially for race, but if it is 96 and newer, leave it EFI.

so in your opinion the carb is better than EFI for races ??
my friend is mechanic and he says that the carb is not safty cause the it put more fuel in the engine and still alittel fuel not burned so it mixed with the oil and then the engine could blow is it true ??
how how about carb with injetors isnt be better ??

This is so not true ! I'm not an expert but by far this is not accurate..I could understand what your friend is saying but by no means is this enough fuel to be a concern. Theres probally 3 million and one carb'd engines that run awesome and havent blew up due to fuel washing/breaking the oil down. my .02 cents

so you think that the unburned fuel will not blown my engine
but i think that average of the fuel will be increase by the time but i am monthly change the oil so i dont think the average will be high

worst case scenario - too much fuel is considered a rich mixture and may dirty your spark plugs. This whole topic is not something to take into consideration at all ! Carbs have been used on all types of engines for decades.

Carbs don't regulate fuel well when the engine is cold. This means there is more unburnt fuel that blows by into the oil during cold starts. This does dilute the oil and shortens the life of the motor.

EFI is a big part of the reason motors live so much longer now than they use to.

However modern motor oils are so much better than the oils back in the pre EFI days, especially when considering synthethic oils. Keep your oil changed and it just isn't a big worry. If you are like most people anything you build with a carb will be garaged in the bad weather and it really becomes nothing to worry about.

So the carb won't blow your engine, but depending on how you drive it the engine may wear out a little sooner.

i would recommend either a Holley 650 double pumper with electric choke
