:-) just home from the engine dyno.....

Aprox May 20 is the opening weekend at my local track, just got another 2" of snow last night...........
Long wait, but I still have to get the engine back into the car, and cut a nasty hole in the floor for the Long inline shifter, and build a new crossmember for the Nash 5spd. Its looking like I need a new driveshaft as well, the new trans is 3/4" shorter than the Tremec, and I cant move the engine back any further.
When I do get to the track, I plan to test and tune it through the 1/8th, and when I get the chassis dialed in I will run it out the back door, but I am pretty certain that I'll only get 1 shot at that, lol

Just out of curiosity, what was the chamber size after cutting? And how far does you piston stick out of the hole? And do you know how many CC flycutting the piston head added. My motor ended up being .006 out of the hole, and 7-8 cc piston dish before flycutting. Thanks, Eric L

chambers ended up about 62cc's. I did not measure the valve releifs, it would have been difficult with the dished pistons - the releifs ended up being .070" deep from the highest part of the piston to the lowest part of the flycut.
I didnt write down the dimension of how far out the pistons were, but I remember it being about .007-.008"
edit 62cc

You cut .050 off the head correct? I would have figured that would put the chamber size at around 60 cc, assuming a 68-69 factory chamber. What were your chambers before cutting. Thanks, Eric L

yes .050" cut. I edited the above post, they were +/- 62cc's, not 63cc's
PAC 1521's on intake set up .050" from coil bind
PAC 1221's on exhaust set up .050" from coil bind

That is very strong output power from a 6.0 liter engine. It is even stronger than the 427ci LS7.
It is a learing for me that his type of cam make power with that duration.
Indeed, L92 head do have serious power if cam properly.

killer numbers man. it was overgeared before...with this much power and the nash its going to be totally overgeared. i have 3.73's and a sk built richmond 4+1 and even with 28's i think i maybe able to get away with 3.55's
if it weighs what mine does and you can get it to 60' that thing should go well into the 9's
put it this way, first pass off the trailer i went enough mph for a 10.60 or .50 totally untuned. 60's wasnt great due to rear shocks having zero control over lift. it almost pulled the back tires off the ground too when the suspension topped out lol.
good luck man and keep us posted!

awesome numbers man, congrats!!!!!
this has me very excited to get my build together! ls2 bottom end w, mahle pistons w/ valve reliefs. ls3 top end with LG g6x3 on a 109. i am cutting my ls3 heads .050 also and did u have any issues with the intake lining up?
once again man congrats!

As far as the gear, time will tell, lol! I actually think I might put 3.54's in the Dana60 and run it through the lights in 4th.
There were no issues with the VicJr L92 lining up. I expected some bolt miss alignment, but it only needed very minor port matching.

Sorry , I should have posted the first outing results back in this post,
It ran 10.91 @ 130 with a spinning 1.79 60ft.
Car is waiting for cage install. I am usually the DIY low buck kinda guy, but I am having a reputable chassis shop install a 8 point moly cage, probably won't have it back to the track untill July. I am VERY excited to run it again.
