Talking 86 Blazer LS2 build

I have a 1986 Chevy Blazer that's backhalfed with a narrowed Dana 60 with a strange spool and axles w/3:73 gears. MT 31/18.5/15 tires on Centerline wheels. Full roll cage, J&M built T400 w/4500 stall, STREET LEAGLE!. I bought a wrecked 08 Trailblazer SS with 40k miles and a sweet LS2. I'll post some pictures when I get off work.

It ran 11.30s with my 402 BBC with a 100shot. With this setup I'm hoping for low 10s all motor

It weighed in at 2750 with the BBC, me (210lbs) and 15gals of fuel. Its pretty much a rolling shell with two seats a dash and a little bit of carpet. With this light aluminum block it should be around 2200 with me in it. The best thing about this is the Power to Weight ratio which is in my favor

Heres some pics..

1986 Chevy Blazer lol

These are by far the best aftermarket gauges you could buy. There not cheap but so worth it. All are electric except the speedo

Heres a little size comparison. Left 285-50-15 Drag Radial on a 10in wide rim VS a 31-18.5-15

Danna 60 w/a Strange Spool full lock 3.73 gear. (its a bitch to push around because of the tires spinning the same)

The Donor

Im so gonna run these seats, power and ground threw the pig tail and wala power seats!

Now the Goodies!!

Covered in bird ****!

Some specs on the engine
2008 Gen IV LS2 40k miles
364ci
4.000 Bore
3.622 Stroke
10.9:1 cp
400hp

My overall goal is to have a 10sec 1/4 mile Street Car!

Here's a list of some goodies that are on the way:

-Doug Herbert custom grind cam 230/236 .612/.608 117lsa
A friend of mine runs this cam and I love it. Good amount of duration and lift but stock idle.. Im over that loppy ****, it was cool at first then drove me crazy.

-Heads are still up in the air but I like the price$$ of the Patriot Performance 2013 heads. Ive read mixed reviews about them so im still 50/50 on that but the 243 and defiantly not getting used.

-Wiseco Pro Tru +4cc Dome Piston
These are forged and super tuff and will **** on factory pistons all day lol
They should bump the CP ration up just right.

-BRP 2in Ceramic Coated long tubes flowing to a 3in duel exhaust system thats a straight shot to the rear then dumped by a pair of Magnaflow outlaws.

-MSD 6012 box tuned by LMB Racings Wes C.

-Victor JR intake w/2in Spacer

-4150 950hp Holly DP tuned by LMB Racings Wes C.

Very cool truck and extremely light! I would say you'll have no problem reaching your goal at that kind of power to weight ratio.

Today i decided with my first saturday off in 6 months that I would start tearing into this engine a little.

First thing was to pull the AWD stuff off and holy crap there's a 2in hole in the oil pan. lol

Then I pulled off the water pump and flex plate.

(Stock 08 LS2 Flex Plate forsale PM for details)

I wonder why GM decided to use that top bolt whole and get rid of the one on the right? Strange...

Took the valve covers off and was happy to see a nice clean valve train.
(Stock 243s foresale PM for details)

Thats all I did today, I still debating on replacing the balancer with SLP's 100226. Has anyone had any luck or input on aftermarket balancers

Lol, was wondering why that hole was there in my trailblazer, it was a 2 wheel drive.
