Default Project 427 bagged daily driver

Picked up the short block today for another project i am working on, this is a friends truck and he designated me to make it happen for the drive line. I may have a touch of input on the exterior, but not much, drive line is ALL me and my suggestions, he just thumbs up the parts and spends the cash. Great guy, known him since high school and likes to enjoy stuff others dont usually have or have stuff look different. He likes to not be main stream.

Truck is a 89 Chevy, bagged and ready for me to remove the old motor and trans.

Motor is a brand new 6.0 block, bores and stroked to 427 cubes(hence different, did not want to be another guy with a 408 LS swap), Manley crank 4.100 stroke, callies rods 6.125, weisco pistons 4.070, H bearings, ARP fasteners, ect ect...

Still need to buy some L92 heads, have Geoff grind a custom cam, need the 4L80 trans and converter, going to have schoenfield make some 1 7/8 headers, still trying to figure what intake, he wants the bird catcher hanging out the hood....his choice. Will be running a SV1 carb.

Here is the truck:

Here is the short block 427:

Stay tuned, a bit over 650 FWHP will be the goal and will be a daily driver.

Looks good man, i member u mentioned it last time we spoke.
Have you considered prc ls3 or even small bore ls7 heads? Im sure either head will kick so ome *** and have no problem making 650+, or around 500+rw.
The ls7 gm carb intake looks like its a nice piece. Those ls7 small bore heads are pumping out some excellent hp and rpm

Gonna be a killer motor. I foresee traction issues with that truck

Just going with some l92 heads that I will touch up. Intake will be what flows and sits at the height he desires.

Oh, well, this will not have a T brake. I like it know how different converters handle for the street.
