I made my own out of 1/4" aluminum plate. I still have an extra piece just big enough to make another if you're interested.

thanks.. the Diamond plate alum and the 1/4" plate both look really nice. but since I do have the origal im gonna just paint it and use it.. In another note thanks for posting pictures, its giving me Ideas on ways to mount the coils.. SLICK68 if those are the coils I bet you can throw people off by making them think its a sbc since they look like a distributor.. I also like LS1MCSS idea, with a carb hat or in my case a Shaker people can think the plug wires are comming from a distributor...

With the intake carb and breather on, it does look a bit similar to a dist. sitting back there. It'll be interesting going places and hearing what people say about it.

LS1MCSS, that diamond plate looks pretty tough.

Slick68 that engine bay is a work of art! Very clean and those valve covers are bar none the best looking on an ls1! Great work!

Yeah, I made my own brackets. Here's a few random shots.

Thanks! I tried smoothing off a set of stock covers, but it just didn't give me the look I wanted. I finally broke down and bought these and couldn't be happier.

Also if the deletion of the holes is required for you, the newer covers stock have no provision. Not sure how simple to cut and mod or if need at all to make it fit for the rear oils pressure area.

I was replying to wildcamaro about my valve covers. I first bought used stock valve covers and smoothed them off hoping to save some money, but I finally gave up on that idea and bought the CHEVROLET script valve covers. The coil brackets I made myself.

Here's how the smoothed stock covers looked.
