i think it was hot rod mag, anyhow they tested a 5.3 with carb conversion and used diff intakes and carbs.they also tested various spacers and had no change with any of them at all.sounds strange to me but the dyno sheets showed no loss or improvement with an open and a 4 hole 1 inch spacer.but now if that spacer happens to let some nitrous in like mine will then you will deff see some improvement .nevertheless let us know how it does.should be interesting

Don't change the jetting. Unless you already know where the A/F is. A 4 hole spacer should give a better booster signal, there-for richen the A/F. The same can happen when going from a single plane(victor, victor jr) to a dual plane(performer, performer rpm). On the dyno we have had to go down 4 jet #'s to keep the same A/F when going from down leg to annullar boosters. Same idea, the annullar boosters creat a better signal and draw more fuel.
Just some ideas for you to think about.

my car is just a track car,,, i just a while ago changed the jets. i went up 3 sizes since it's going to be cool weather for tmorrow(50's)... only dyno i use is the 1/8 mile one,,,im looking for some 6.8's with the spacer and hope for some 1.42 or 3 60fts..im still leaving at 2000 rpm's. this is a bone stock motor with just a carb change.. im still going to use the 38 deg timing since it like it...also this is on 93 pump gas too...

well the space slowed it down with the extra jets too
with spacer fastest went 1.480 60ft 6.972
w/out spacer it went back to what it runlast week 1476 60ft 6.940
i dont think the extra jets help any too i ran it on the 2 barrel it ran 1.51 60ft at 7.12 then backed it up with another 1.51 at 7.13
