Wait a minute..........................5.40 in the eigth mile? Holy Crap Dave, dosent that equate to an 8.40-8.50 in the quarter? Did that engine always eigth that hard, or were you going for your 8 sec slip? Eric L

Thanks guys...no injuries other than the damage to the wallet.
It can be fixed...
I replaced the 3.185" crank with a 4.100" compression went up a few points as well .....it seemed to make a bunch more torque on the few outings before the YB nats.
I'll be back......

Dave

Glad you are ok, seems like a good time to get a coupe and shed some more weight if the ruled allow.

Yeah, come on Dave, I know you can get it down to 2300 lbs plus driver. Now you need to shoot for 7s on motor, lol. The crazy part is with some weight reduction, and keeping the front end down, its really possible.......wow. Eric L

yeah..can always shed more weight..I like my donuts.
easier to buy lightweight stuff than work at losing it by taking walks or whatever it is skinny people do.
I need to move the instant center some or get some tractor pulling weights to keep the front down..

So, you blew a head gasket and push out some coolant that got under the rear tires?

Wow man, scary pictures. Hope you get it back together soon.

For a CI and compression change, that car is getting it done going 5.40s! That's about 3 tenths quicker in the 8th?

Mph on the prior run was 128 at the 1/8th....9.20's/110mph in the 1/4, lifting at the 1/8th
The run in the pics...no time slip.
I was about 300ft out when it turned into the wall.

The small engine(346) ran a best in the 5.70s at 121 in the 1/8th with 1.26 short times

Wow, 7-8mph in the 8th is a great gain! Are you still running that SV1? Still happy with it?

I've considered picking one up in the 95mm blade size.
