10 Speed Swap
Now that the ten speed trans is starting to become more available, has anybody tried putting one in a first gen camaro with the speartech harness or something similar?

I havn't spoken with Speartech. I wasn't sure if anybody had tried the 10 speed in a camaro yet. I don't know about the swaps, but most of the truck guys have alot of negative reviews on the 8l90 including I think there is a class action law suite against GM because of the transmission so I was wanting to steer clear of it.

The 10 speed uses CAN car area network from what I understand and requires a lot of sensor data input the PCM/BCM modules. That makes for a complicated swap into an older car unless using a package set up forth swap. Speartech has a LT4/10 speed package listed on their website. You'll also need a big budget. Speartech would bey first point of contact if planning for a 10 speed swap.

I had a 20 Silverado with a 6.2/10 speed combo. It was sweet compared to my 2015 6.2/8 speed combo. The 15 never left me stranded but was "reprogrammed" 3-4 times with little improvement shift when cold and and down shifting at low speeds.
The 10 speed had different shift patterns you could select. Normal, sport and tow. The nice thing if you need it is the smaller rpm drop between shifts with the 10 speeds.
