We have many sponsors on the site that can hook you up with internals.
The hot cam is EFI oriented, I have been tempted to try it out with carbed setup anyway. If I remember it has a 112 LSA. That is OK for a carb. A 110 or less is better. There are carbed grinds available, which may be a much better option in genereal. Not to mention the hot cam has only .525 lift.

If you want them fresh again send them our way. We can get the short blocks set up with new pistons in 370ci or LS3 376ci build with moly rings, clevite main/rod bearings, Durabond cam bearings, high speed internal balance, inspected and ready to go for $1699. We also offer forged upgrades for higher HP.

You would have to mill considerably less for those which would make for a better fitting intake as well as making the compression alcohol friendly...the best choice would be 243s since they have the smallest combustion chamer while still retaining the bigger intake and exhaust ports/valves over a 5.3 head (706) which has a smaller chamber but also smaller ports and valves...

did a leak down test. at 90 psi cylinders 1,3,5,7,2 and8 were between 84 and 88psi. cylinders 4 and 6 leaked out exhaust valves . so i have to take head off to fix. I've been doing some research and better off to bolt on 241's or 243's if lucky enough to find a set of with out having to pay an arm and leg.

317's are approximatly 70cc. (as are the LS3/L92 heads)
LQ4 is about 9.4:1 with 70cc heads.
.006 mill for 1 cc.
Had .050 milled off my LS3 heads to get the comp up some.
