Default Fast ez efi

Hey guys, just a heads up. Im thinking seriously about going to a carb on the ol LS3 and letting the FAST EZ go. Im thinking about spraying alittle and the EZ isnt compatible with any form of boosting air.
Im asking 1300.00 for the basic setup. Thats everything needed but the fuel system but am throwing the vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator in the deal. That being said, I maybe interested in some partial trades on a REALLY good carb in the 800 to 900 cfm range
If anyone is interested just drop me a PM. Oh and I am probably going to go with the L92 dual plane intake, so the vic jr square port intake will need a new home too.

Have you considered just replacing the ECU with something more capable on your setup ? Keep the throttle body/injectors etc. Seems like you have done a lot of work and already have the high-pressure fuel system and wiring etc that goes with EFI.

You could do the Holley HP unit for about $1000 or a DIY Megasquirt for less than $400. Both are capable of using/triggering nitrous systems. Also, both can do LS ignition coil operation which I believe the FAST EZE cannot.

I would megasquirt that thing. Super easy to tune. You could get an unassembled MS1 for $150. It has the features that your ez efi lacks.

Im not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to EFI. I do know the injectors max out at around 600HP ,so the TB wont stay up with my goals. I also know the ECU wont help me by going to multiport because the self learning system will automatically lean the system when the fuel gets added for the nitrous shot. I am also pretty happy with the MSD6012 for spark control so I dont need a system to control fuel and spark. My aeromotive 700HP fuel pump is also compatible with low or high fuel pressures, so its just a matter of installing a low pressure reg and adusting the fuel pressure. I also like the idea of a return system with a carb setup and its already in place. Thanks for the input though. Its a hard call to make as the EZ works great, Im just out growing its capability.

I've been contemplating the EZ setup to replace my carb, your price seems kinda high for a used system. What all are you including in the sale?

The system has less than 200 miles on it and the vacuum referenced regulator comes with it. I havent looked at what they go for new lately but I think its around 1600.00 for the basic kit. I thought 300 bucks off new price and throwing 100 bucks worth of regulator was a decent price. What price have you seen cheaper?

For used stuff, especially electronics, I'd expect at least 50% off new...

I would keep it for another project before I would sell at half price. I understand your thoughts on electronics and I would be hesitant about used electronics too, but I know its in near new condition and 100% in every way and barely used, so I wont be giving it away. I would go 1200.00, but for any less, I will just keep it for now.
On a slightly different note, anyone messed with texas speeds 12* LS3 heads? With smaller 250cc ports that flow really good at all lift points, it looks like a good head for a 6.2.

i love when people take a motor that had a perfect fi unit on it, then they wanna throw away$2000 on a pos efi setup that you cant do dick with, when you could have bought a modified harness from PSI and used the factory efi for anything boost , nos , blower......

The whole idea of the Fast on my setup was an old school look. I think the factory plastic intake looks like crap, especially on an older car. And when I bought the crate motor, I had no ECU, so the combination of a grand for the wiring and an ECU + the ugly *** look of the plastic intake, I liked the Fast. When I built this car it was just going to be a cruiser, but now Im selling my 68 so I want to up the game on the 72. What was just a cruiser will be my do all hotrod.

Well sir, this section is a lot of individuals that do all their own work, unlike the massive majority of the site. We do things different and enjoy not being just another factory swapped EFI setup. As for using a setup from any company and installing, getting a dyno tune and a intake to support the mods, it evens out or costs more if not using used parts.

If you don't like it, take your disrespectful comments to other sections if you have no positive input. Name calling and all other immature comments to the side, if you have experience and tuning advice, experience with these combinations or questions to application, great, stick around. I do not enjoy telling individuals how to act, and trolling will not be tolerated.
