Default Winter updates

Finally got the car running somewhat good at the end of the season, 11.11 @ 124 through a tight ptc nitrous stall/glide with Ms4, stock heads/bottom end lq9 with a 650 holley. Thought about getting a plate kit and spraying on that setup but I figured I might as well go all out.

Got a good deal on a set of Prc Stage 3 243s, Had FTI spec me a all out stock bottom end nitrous cam, and had my Holley Ulta HP 850 tuned by CSU.
I am going to be using a nitrous express gemini 2 perimeter plate system.

Hopefully should be enough to run 9.50s, Im planning on working up to a 250 shot and see what she does!

Should be going soon, I have everything I need so this weekend I'm gonna get it all back together. Just if the weather cooperates I can get some motor passes in then start spraying.

Tryin to see if the dynatech headers for the 94-04 LS will work for my 80. If so I'll need to get everything together and start installing once my head gaskets come in. Motor is still sitting in the truck.

They won't. They have to be fox specific as the later ones get in the way of the steering shaft.

I have dynatechs 1 7/8" on my fairmont. I also had a set of BBK 351w 1 3/4 swap headers that I changed the flanges on that fit nice and would fit with the AJE or stock crossmember.

After some research, you are absolutely right. Looks close and may be able to make it work, but idk if I'm down for any extra work. Trying to find cheap painted 1 3/4 or larger sbf headers still. BBK is the cheapest I have seen new, 360$, still too much I think.

Hey Travis, Sounds like you are really getting it together. You will really be close to your goal for sure.
With those heads and cam and carb retune you should be 10.60's or so NA. wow thats movin. Then with some nos your in the single digits. I will be getting my heads back in about 2 weeks. Also going to get a set of Harland Sharp roller rockers. With the heads done and the super vic, hoping to be around 10.30's on the 200 shot. Then we'll see about more nos.

Dynatech Part number is 715-91410

Got a quote last july 575.00 from a sponsor here.

The BBK 1 3/4" headers are chrome plated and you should be able to find them used. The LS1 flanges are 50.00 all day long on ebay or whereever. A little time rounding the headers square ports to fit the flanges, Test fit them to make them fit perfectly and go to town with your mig. A hell of a lot easier than going the full custom route. I cut the ford ball flanges off and welded 3" collector rings to use regular collectors.

Not trying to hi-jack OP thread.

Trying to go the cheapest route possible. Have a guy I can get the SN95 LS swap headers from for a good deal with a x pipe, but they are not going without a fight. Missed a few deals for some used bbk 1 3/4 headers already. Sucks. Kooks and dynatech are more than I want to spend, but if I sell some stuff I'll do it.

Should be back together and running this weekend, if the weather clears up i hope to make a couple n/a hits sunday. With the new cam and way better heads/carb Id think it should pick up. Hopefully get some 10.7s out of it with this setup.

well its been a lil while but the car is running 10.80s-10.90s @ 126-127 pretty much every pass. Finally modded the stock tranny crossmember to clear the exhaust and got that on and the nitrous system is about done so if all goes well I should be able to make some hits on spray friday night. Im gonna start out with the 100 shot and see what it does, do you guys think 9.99s are a possibility? Its got a nitrous cam and stall so I think it shoud react good to it.
and the spintechs sound amazing I will have to get a vid up soon of them.
