what size/cfm carburetor do you recomend for a 2005 ls2??? right now it is a stock motor with a Edelbrock performer rpm intake manifold, Edelbrock thunder avs 650cfm off road carburetor with custom headers and exhaust.. and ive been told by some no names that it needs a 750-800 cfm carb? is this true?

If you're going for gas milage...the Edelbrock carbs will help as will the 650cfm. IMO

95% of the guys on this site run a 750 or larger on 5.7L and bigger motors.

I run a 750 DP on my 2005 LS2 crate motor. GM used a 750 when they rated the crate motor.

I used a custom 810 on a 408 cub ls. Guess it depends on what you are looking for. Top end, or street torquer?

I would run at least a 750CFM carb. Edelbrock would give you nice throttle response and fuel efficiency and less hassle than a Holley. Holley beats edelbrock any raceday.

Good advice here if you like the Edelbrock style carbs. I only speak Holley, but that is my problem.

I would run a 750 or larger. I have an 850 on my lq4 and it works great! Think about what you might want to do with it. Build it bigger, than get the bigger carb. Street terror, maybe 750 is good! here is summits cfm calculator http://www.summitracing.com/popup/ca...cfm-calculator
