Smile Speedtigger wins True Street.

Just thought my carbed friends might like a little more ammo on just how consistent a carb can be.

Today I won the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals True Street 12.00 class at the season opening race at Bradenton Motorsports Park.

Here were the official results. I have a perfect 12.000 average. I knew I needed an 11.976 on the final pass to be perfect and I ran exactly that. I was ***** out to the first MPH beam and it just felt too fast, so I got out of it. Good thing I did. That instinct got me the win.

Nice
I want to know how you got your car to run 12.0?? I thought you were running quite a bit faster than that on the motor?

20 degrees total timing, short shift, 20 MPH head/crosswind, hot and humid and blip it at the finish line once.

All those damn decals are an event requirement. But, I think there is some contingency to collect.

That one smarted a lot. I had all my trees in teens and the car was dialed in perfect for 11.00. Here is where I screwed up - The first round I was pitted against a guy who was running LSX-H(12.50). The tree blinds are not so great at BMP and I saw the flash of his pro tree and I left off of his tree. Red light city. I was really disappointed. I felt like I could win LSX-E.

But, on a happier note, the event photos are excellent. Here is the one that I got:

Looks like NMCA and Dragzine published both article/interviews from the race on their websites. If you click on the images below, it will take you to the the webpages where they are published. Both interview/articles are about mid-page:
