Well, that guy has a 5.3 that runs mid 9s on i think a 275 shot. Think he went through 4 5.3 liters finding the limits.

Thanks everyone. The engine is a LY6 out of a 2007 Silverado. It has a 750 Quick fuel carb, Edelbrock Victor Jr, and a Comp Cams cam with 227/235 duration and .624 lift on a 113.

You're going to need more gear to run it out the back door on the kit.....

Nice car tho!

I run 4.10's with a 325/50 (28inch tall) radial and have a little more then enough for motor passes (127mph @ 6800rpm's).....

Unless you're turning an high amount of rpm's I don't think you will have enough gear, 3.55's would probably work for you, just my 02....

No reason if converter is set up right that he can't run 3.73 and 28 in tire and keep it under 7000-7200 out the back. With 3.90 should be about 138 -140 @7000 with 8% converter slip, with 3.73 would be 146-147 @7000 with 8 % slip. Some nitrous converters have a little as 3-4% slip.

I was told with my 28 inch tire, 3.90 gear, and my convertor built by Precision Industries. That I would cross the line somewhere or right under 7000 rpm
