Yes, it will help me get the car on the road much quicker. EFI wouldn't be that hard since I'm familiar where all the sensors and crap like that goes, it's just the extra time that I don't have.

With a stock cam LS2 and single plane intake I can drive around the neighbor hood all day in 4th gear at 1000 RPM. Never need to go above 3000 RPM if I don't feel like it. Get 25 MPG at 65 mph, would be more if I had a 6 instead of 5 speed trans.

That's great to know, I'll be throwingthe trex I had planned on using. I'm looking into getting a wristband to gee the afr right. I'll be needing some help since I'm not familiar with carbs lol. And I hope to get mid 20mpg as well, it will be a six speed car in a second gen bird.

My trex with my 6.0 and 6 speed running 4.30 gears got 22-24 mpg. Worst it got was 17 beating the snot out of it and sitting in traffic.

Yea, that wristband is a great investment. Lol

I'm sure efi could have got 1-2 more mpg than my carb, but I'm not splitting hairs and I make adjustments all the time if I need to. No paying for a dyno tune, no expensive 1000$ up intake and a expensive TB, the list goes on and argumenents will always be there. But, I made my decisions and never regretted them.

I'm getting a wristband that reads "got carb?" 2mpg difference is nothing to worry about, not like it makes a difference when I get on the loud pedal.

More parts ordered, stainless works 1 7/8" longtube headers, stainless of course.
