Have only removed injector bosses. Otherwise I could not get in there far enough to satisfy my attempt. Just has too much curve in the runner.

yeahl. I was just tinkering around with the burrs that I bought, and they shred aluminum like butter at lower speeds.

You get the fine ones or the aggressive aluminum bits?

I think they are in the middle. If I keep it moving and don't go to fast (rpm's)it makes a smooth cut almost like i polished it but when you get closer you can still tell its a rough grind that has not been polished. does not gouge like I anticipated.

my girl works at grainger and I get them for like 3 bucks. I don't know how many diff cuts they make, but they look more aggressive than fine.

I pulled about 10+ HP out of mine. But, I have a lot of porting experience. This engine also has ported heads with an increased port cross sectional area and flow.

If you don't have ported or aftermarket heads, the potential gains are less because the intake already outflows your heads. However, if you have good eyes, good hands and a few sets of inside calipers to take interior measurements to maintain the proper port cross section and taper, you can get some power out of it too.

I originally sent mine to an internet hero porting "guru" to save myself some time. It only took me about 4 to 6 hours of work to fix his work when I got it back.

Some people grind this and that and then hit it with a sandpaper roll until it looks appealing to their eye. Then, they pat themselves on the back at what a great job they have done. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
