Stock intake calls for 89-100 INCH lbs. Using the rubber gaskets I would go by that. The paper style I would tighten them a little more.

I tighten them by hand till the intake is flush to the heads with the rubber o ring gaskets, then go a quarter turn more if it feels like it will go that far. Thats about the best way i can say. Otherwise, i tighten them to where i just "feel" comfortable.

There are 2 different torque valves inch lbs and foot lbs. One is a larger torque wrench capable of more torque. They're are worth there weight in gold.

In case you are wondering, 100 inch lbs is 8.3333333 foot lbs. I always try to use one unless for some reason I cant. I always wondered why my old sbc intakes leaked until I started using a torque wrench,no more leaky after that, lol

How many inches in a pound? 1 ft lb = 12 inch lbs. I hope that is right because that is how I convert the #s!! All my junk is torqued that way.

Yes, 12 inches to a foot. So multiply ft-lbs by 12 and divide inch-lbs by 12.

It's when you get a torque spec in newton meters that I need to break out the conversion table.
