Default Msd 6010 vs edelbrock version

Is there any difference between the msd 6010 that you buy by itself vs the box that comes with the edelbrock intakes?

The MSD box can be programmed by a computer. The edelbrock box youre only able to tune by swapping the chips out for their pre-determined tune.

MSD box allows you to run on the pills or create your own timing curve. It allows you to set your rev-limits. It allows timing retard for nitrous hookup or whatever other reason you may need it for. Basically it allows a lot of adjustability.

Edelbrock box allows you to run the engine on predetermined pills.

MSD = thumbs up
Edelbrock Box = thumbs down

I have'nt checked prices lately, but when I bought mine it was quite a bit cheaper to buy the MSD box and the EDY intake separately. Go figure!
