Looks like the new Trans is working like a freaking champ! I'm dying to know what the full throttle engagements feel like. Does it feel like it just wants to go into gear or what?

I have no opinion on that case. But will say you are very lucky you inspected that. Next run could of destroyed some **** in a hurry. I run the strange pro case its a heavy guy but wont have a issue with it.

I don't have any experience with the Yukon cases but everything I have read is promising. I have been seriously considering one for my car if I decide to go 9".

I too have read some awesome reviews of it....just nothing from the stick shift crowd...i'm wondering if the savings of the aluminum case will be worth any hassle i experience from it. a strange iron pro case is about the same cost and i know it'd last forever.

I don't think you should mess with the alum case. Get a strong iron case. The extra weight is in the right spot anyway - over the rear tires

I agree! The pro case has have me zero fits. Strong and reliable is were it's at in these stick cars. I always wonder though street gears or pro gears!

my broken gears were a street gear. pro gears are a touch softer and will absorb the shock more. i'm pretty sure that's where i'm headed.

I run street gears, always have. But a dana 60 is probably not comparable to your 9"
In any case, you dint want to do ANY street running on a pro gear

I actually just got off the phone with a local differential shop who builds LOTS of race car axles around here and was talking to him about a Yukon case in my car and he said its all he uses anymore, in all applications.

Its time to take the question to some of your own kind IMO. That's the only way you will know. Anyone else is guessing. It's always better to learn from others experience than learn out of your pocket. I would think Cast iron or nodular is stronger than aluminum, forget the weight deal.

Some people have a tendacy to tell people what they want to hear when it lines their wallet.
