it sure did! and after figuring out how to work the pedals a bit better on the launch, it has really restored my faith in the little shorty jegster torque arm....i believe i'll stick with it for now

So you didn't like the 2step?

it's not that i didn't like the 2step. the 2step quit working last fall for some unknown reason. the 2 step breaking made me not go WOT before releasing the clutch though, as to maintain 6000 rpm, i have to keep my foot at or under 1/4 throttle now. this has made me realize that being WOT was only making things more difficult.

if i can get the 2-step working again, i will make it work, and then just keep my foot at 1/4 throttle against the 2-step instead of WOT against it.

i guarantee that's where my 60' drop came from...that and this carb is one crisp running piece, lol.

I couldn't do it with out being WOT lol it's all in my left foot how I come off the clutch. 2 different ways both work haha.

i frame-by-frame'd the in-car video and noticed the oil pressure is dropping to 28psi at the hit.

can i plumb an accumulator like this?

I would think a trap door baffle would be better ?

Between the launch G's, and oil climbing the pan ???

no, it goes to a pressure valley.

doug, i'd worry about it pumping that little sump dry with the way the trap doors on that work.

i'm going to play with some stuff...seems after some digging, that a proper drag oriented oil pan would be best :/

There is a straight shot where that valley is if I remember. My machine shop went over that with me. There is even a plug in there that some machine shops don't remove and clean that area.

yeah, it goes into a gallery that is being fed directly by the oil pump. it's not a straight shot to the sump (what good would that do anyway?)

i think i need to suck it up and buy a proper pan. been looking at the autokraft some...just gotta come up with $400...on TOP of needing new rear brakes...ugh...

this all wouldn't be a big deal, but i'm trying to buy a house right now, lol

If your running a extra quart right now, that's pretty crazy it would drop the pressure like that.

one of the guys i keep up with on facebook offered that the extra oil may be getting aerated by the crank, causing a lot of sloshing of the oil and might be what is causing it.

Sure glad I don't have data logging. Imagine all the **** I would find and have to fix. As it is now, I don't have the guts to look at anything other than out the windshield on the launch.

Out of site out of mind haha. Damn oil pans are expensive. Seems its hard to have a leak proof pan also.

interesting observations from saturday. 1, i'm crushing the little 3053S. pretty sure a move to the new 3054ST is going to be in the future. 2, the car spins on the 1-2 shift...about 10' worth. hoping the solution to number 1 will also aid in number 2.

Can't you just run more tire pressure?
