3 inch. Will be good scavenging for the 4.8. If it was a 5.7 or larger I would X pipe it. Not a race truck.

If you used 1st gen headers on a 2nd gen s10, I wonder what little differences there actually are?

Yeah ive got the brp 1-7/8 lt set. Make sure you take the collector all the way off when you put it together... kinda a no brainer but I didnt and it was a pain in the ***.... also unless you have tubular front suspension the upper control arms will hit the primary tubes if you bottom out. Make sure your bump stops shut that issue down. The ceramic coating looked awesome the first year but some corrosion from the winter some how made them look rusty. Im running stage 8's for my bolts and havent had a issue on leakage yet. Good luck and keep the posts coming!

Hoping my 3/4 instead of 7/8 might fit better. I don't have the ceramic coating.

Sweet. I opted for the in frame ones. One tube on each side would rub the frame, otherwise they fit perfect. I have talked with the brp guys and they are working on an in frame set for the 1st gens so you dont have to mod any. I just cut a small amount of the frame out and welded some 1/4 plate back in. It would be impossible if they didnt come apart lol. Ive had mine on and off so much its easy now. I wanna see some pics of the tubes outside the frame.

Mine come all the way past where the trans mounts just a hair so they are definately longer than most. Im fixin to take the collectors back off and tig some v band clamps on for easy hook up. Im not much on just the band clamps

I like the side exit idea. I cut a hole in my frame, used a 3.5 inch by1/4 inch thickness tube and boxed it in for the exhaust pipe to come out in front of the wheels. It should look wicked. Will be tough to get an x pipe just right but Im gonn try it. 3 inch all the way

here is mine. 1st gen 1 7/8 headers on a 2nd gen with BRP mounts. it's tight, but it clears.

the turning radius with full size tires would absolutely suck with these headers. definately for skinnies only.

Well, makes me wonder how my round coils will fit my AC box, just like my third gens maybe? Plenty of room on them.
