I'd have to call BS unless I saw it in person. I hope its true and if so you guys have the fastest ones out there. I believe Tim has been 6.0's NA but that was with a 418 I believe
That is a tall order for sure. But, I am not sure it is not possible. I could see 6.30s to 6.50s for sure.

There is a guys with a stock LS6 in a C5 or C6 racecar chassis who has gone 10.00, but I don't know what the raceweight is.

mine is all stock except cam. It WILL go 6 teens this year, I notched pistons, and put new bearings and rings in, but stock bore and all. Mine did weigh 2965, hoping to be in the range of 2850-2875 this year. And 4.30 gear instead of 4.10.

My 80 went 6.9 NA at 3060 with me in it with 3.73s and a th400 with a junky 4500 converter and it was a stock lq4 with stock milled 317s. Fixing to go to 4.30s with a looser converter, and that should net a decent gain, hoping 6.6s. Now take a custom grind cam, a lighter and more efficient th350, the deeper gears, heads that flow 330 instead of my 245, let's. It mention a intake that probably stomps my cathedral Vic jr, and I'll say the magic happens harder and faster than my setup. Billy flantos went 6.3s with cathedral heads only milled and a polluter cam. It was lighter than mine, but that was still old heads and a off shelft grind.

Having a fitment issue at the moment with the new intake. Anyone else having any issues? Not sure if it's the intake or lip on the heads. I know the heads work with standard ls3/fast intakes, but I don't have another carb'd intake to try out at the moment. It was tough to get the intake as it is. We had to call Edelbrock directly and talk to an engineer and he said they had a shelf full of 4500 flange intakes. Everyone else we talked to said they didn't have any. It was kind of odd. Then called Jegs and name dropped the engineer's name and they overnited to out. Problem now, is its not fitting.

are those gm or aftermarket heads?

may need to break out the dremel and do some clearance work on the head...

with the intake as narrow as it already is, I would not touch it..

just bear in mind heat expansion when doing it.

i had similar issue with the vic jnr L92 intake, but we had milled 100thou off heads. if you bolt one side down it may actually bend a fraction and drop in. thats what we found

I don't think I would be trying to force an intake into place. They are made to drop in easily. But I am still a rookie at this stuff compared to a lot of the guys on here.

Do not force it, some people need some hands on experience before giving advice.

I would be carefully putting a nice chamfer on the sides of the intake edge to fit the heads. It will be best to do both sides as evenly as possible to get nice alignment to the heads.

It still sucks that you have to do this though.

Sure looks bad ***. I would be pretty pissed about the fit though. How much is there to cut off the intake?

I would think you would be better off clearancing the head in that area. I dont have one here to look at, but if I remember right, there is a little raised portion there at the top of the front and rear ports that you could knock off and not affect the sealing of valve cover at all.
