Hard to tell on my phone but it looks look you can unscrew whatever block off is in there.

Thats a new one on me. I wasnt aware that the later blocks were different than the earlier models as far as the oil pressure sensor goes. Did you take the factory sensor out?

are you sure that's where the oil sensor reads from? i thought it was more to the center of the engine (going off of a horrible memmory)

That's the correct location. It appears that the sender is broke off in the block. Time to drill and tap. Good luck brother. Eric L

I see DOD oil feed galleys

I wonder if someone did what I did and plugged the port off so as to prevent oil pressure loss through the solenoids and or cover gasket?

I just drilled and tapped my oil cooler bypass for 1/8" npt to get oil pressure

IF it's threaded in and can be extracted TIG welding a bolt onto the obstruction WILL get it out.

But something doesn't look right with the pic. To me it doesn't look like a broken anything as the machine marks I can see are across the blockage and face of the block.

It appears to be recessed about 1/16 of an inch down in to me.

The "drive" part is. But the rest of whatever is in that hole was milled flush. If you really blow the pic up you can even see "it's" outline in the face of the machining.

I don't think its a broken sender. Chiefly because on a DOD motor the sender is threaded into the cover and not the block

well I now know what happened! when I sent it to the machine shop to get built, they pluged all the dod oil holes and this one to, so I'm really not going to drill anything now, so where is a good spot to put the oil pressure sensor now? O my
