Should work fine. Not uncommon to run a carb regulator on an EFI pump.

we do this in thirdgens all the time. i'm not sure how the return side of the system is run on the 4th gen cars, but in theory, something like a mallory 4309 will work get the job done.

can someone who has done EXACTLY this tell me what exactly they did? We have a stock 99 fule tank/pump, with all stock lines, with a mallory 4309 regulator, edelbrock super vic intake, holley 750 dbl pumper, msd 6LS box. The fuel system is what puzzles me. Is it possible to do this with the STOCK fuel lines that were run to my old LS1 intake?

I installed a factory fuel pump in my tank. It was for an aftermarket EFI . then I did the LS swap and regulated w/return to a carb. and now back to Atomic EFI....no problems...

interesting. that typically doesn't work. you normally will see pressure creep and end up burning the pump up.

On my 98 I have a professional products 10653 regulator. Returning it to the top of the tank with a bulkhead fitting.

I still have a return line im just using the factory one that is just after the fuel filter if I remember right. the fuel pressure stays where I have it set and so far I haven't had any issues with lack of fuel pressure or it creeping up.

oh ok, it wasn't clear you were still using your factory return.
