Anyone running this cam. Since I'm just building a street truck I thought this may work. I just want a bad *** sounding cam. Can't find any info on recommended stall. If anyone is running it I would like to hear some feedback

Yup, have the 2216 in a stock long block 5.3 with stock pushrods and single .580 lift springs. Car sounds fantastic and has gone 7.7 at 91 mph in the 1/8th with a way too tight 4000 converter. Some tuning and a better converter would net 7.5s I'm sure. This is a full weight 86 TA with a 4L80 and 4.30 gears.

Any questions just ask. A 4000 converter is great for my TA but should be looser. It is a nitrous converter so they made it too tight.

Do you think a 3000 stall would work in just a mild street truck?

You haven't listed any spec's. What engine, Mods, Weight, gears ,transmission, tire size etc. so anyone answering is flying COMPLETELY blind.

3000 stall is mild for a LS engine
2216 is a mild cam for most LS engines
They seem to match in that respect.

A real 3000 converter would work but if your serious, a 3500 is better and if the vehicle is lighter, a 4000 would probably be best.

It's a stock 5.3 out of a burb. Going in a 85 c-10 swb automatic. It will have 4:10's in the rear end. Not looking for something to run on the track just a hot rod to run to town and maybe to a few shows. I don't want to waste money on the cam and stall converter and be left with a turd of a truck. Also undecided on the tire siZe but I will be keeping the 15" rally's

Never installed a MAP sensor, so I cannot the those numbers for vacuum but the power brakes have never had any feel other than factory.

I would go with a 3500 converter, should get the truck moving nicely when you want it to.
