It is out there, but fortunately my original glass is still fine.

So Jeff Zerkle just went 7.50s @ 188 with a 4L80. As far as I know, that is the record. What is even cooler is that he built the trans himself.

Awesome. Wonder what components he has in there? I'll stick with the 80 till I go turbo. After that, I'll have a high enough gear that a 400 till be fine.

He is using an Extreme Automatics billet valve body and a Circle D 258mm converter. He also said the trans has all the good stuff inside.

I'm surprised if it is a circle D. It is one trans that many people have had issues getting them to work the way we want. Sent mine to someone else to get retsallled. I get it back tomorrow.

Wonder if he had someone else adjust it? It just left it right as **** because he is making power.

I am thrilled with mine. It was a bit tight at first, but pretty damn good after the restall. 60' in the 1.2s

Had an interesting life event yesterday. My position at work was terminated as a result of a corporate restructure and I was not offered a position within the company to stay on board, thus I got to go home early yesterday for the first time in my professional career anywhere.

My resume is updated and already in the hands of a few prospects for a new 9-5 type position somewhere, but of course this does give me a little time to ramp Walter Racecraft up some, so parts sales and chassis/exhaust work will increase at least for the interim to supplement what was lost. Very exciting about the possible changes!

right now i do not have a website, but i can sell cam motion, transmission specialties, monster clutches, ict billet, afco, and pa racing products. I also have a couple different part numbers for steering shafts that i do, 1 that fits 80-87 square body gm trucks and 1 that fits 3rd gen f-body/1st gen s-series trucks/80's g-bodies. your best bet is to email me at matthew.walter84@gmail.com

I just opened this thread up to say hello to everyone as I haven't visited this site in a few years. Sorry to see the current topic, but as you said maybe it will be a good thing for you Matt. Good luck to you.

I hope things are going great for everyone else. I've been okay, just busy with life in general and haven't messed with any LSX stuff or even my old Gen2 LT1's in a few years. I had my shop get broken into a few years back and lost a lot of things and just lost interest in all projects for awhile. Spent a lot of time bass fishing and having fun, but I'm finally about ready to get back to work so I'll try to stop in here more often.

Pulled this **** in to the shop. Had a used windshield that wasn't cracked installed. Said it is staying in the shop, because it is going to get going next.

New TA is running but has a dead cylinder. So that bastard can sit in the corner and think about what it has done for a bit.

Welcome back! Having stuff stolen sucks for sure. Thieves are a low form of humanity.

so just to update, the interview that i had back 2 weeks ago now was actually very promising, but we've had a hard time coming to an agreement on salary. i sent my final offer to them today and have the attitude of if they don't take it, i'll find something else. Dad has some work for me to do over the next 2 weekends for MotorManiaTV outside of my normal responsibilities for them and I will be able to maintain some income that way for a little while, all while being aggressive on trying to get another new 9-5. honestly, if WRC and MMTV take over, i could very well be better off. it's difficult and scary to try to do that though.

on another note, the red car side job that lives at my house 75% of the time was completed far enough to let the guy take it to the car show we all went to this weekend. here are some pictures

new strange front brakes

I used the hammered black from rustoleum on this. i love this stuff. it holds up great for a rattle can paint, and lays out super consistent. expect to use 4 cans on a typical 10 point if you ever want to use this stuff.

car rolled out in front of the garage. this thing has a super agressive stance now. probably still a little too low in the front honestly

i installed a racepak and an ARC8000 switch panel as well, but only made the car function well enough to fire up and drive on it's own. we will be going back into the car in 3 weeks to get the details finished up. it's turning into something i'm really proud of.
