The right foot planted is all in your head lol. It's hard for me also. A lot of times I don't lift on 1-2, lift going to 2-3 and don't lift 3-4. Whatever works for you.

It's not worth a half second or anything, but power staying fully applied instead of any drop and recovery is a HUGE difference from someone who barely drives a stick to a experienced driver. But I cannot say you would see more than a tenth keeping it on the floor. That transmission is designed for keeping it WOT I think, lol.

it'll just take more practice for sure. i realize how critical the 1-2 shift is and know there is a lot of ET wrapped up in that transition alone.

That's what help me I think was the 1-2 no lift. Us being m6 cars are 330 increment is important, once we are rolling we are trucking down the backhalf of the track and we mph.

the car is not bogging or laying over when i launched at 5000 rpm. what are the thoughts on reducing launch rpm even further? of course, some of my 60' may have been the track. i'm going to capitol next weekend who notoriously has better prep than mason dixon. maybe i won't change anything and just try it out as is.

I would launch as low as possible and fine the sweet spot that keeps the least amount of spin and maximum traction. Will make for the least chance to good a 60 and the most consistent passes.

I would stay the same. That way you can't tell if there are differences in the track etc. but after that I would play with it.

Matt, bring it to Cecil (I know....tolls. But IF you take Rt 1 across the Conowingo that's one toll you skip and I 95 going South is free until the tunnel)
I will say...Track prep at Cecil GREAT!

i'll be there for yellow bullet. tunnel toll does not effect me as i am out on the west side and would come up and around. i know how to get up there without the tolls. i can't promise i'll make it up there for anything else though.

i'll keep it at 5K for now and adjust accordingly. i do not want to rely on a clutch slip any longer. i want it to work off the 2-step.

i LOVE my new headers. had the trans out, parts run to the store, leak fixed, and trans back in the car in 3 hours, and i was taking my time. I bet i could have done the whole thing in an hour had i not had to stop and go to the store

found the leak it was exactly what i thought it was. when i drilled the holes in the tunnel, i went right through the top of the shift rail extension housing, lol.

decided to tap the hole for a #8-32 screw and put some ATF compatible RTV on the threads. i feel confident in it.

yesterday sucked. 4 terrible passes. 1st was spin city, 2nd was a 1-2-1 shift (which thankfully didn't hurt anything, other than a poly trans mount that looks a little worse for wear. all valvetrain held together thankfully). 3rd was down 6 mph. i found the timing map in the MSD was not my timing map?! put my timing map back in it and it seemed to pick back up on the 4th pass, but i gated the shifter and popped the snap ring off the **** rail for the 5th/6th shift fork (was going for 4th, ended up kind of in 6th sort of). ended my day early (easy win for the faster guy who caught me by the 1000' mark). very thankful i got to go racing though, and as they say, a bad day racing is better than a good day at work. it's a true sentiment, lol!

trans was out last night after the track, and back in tonight. just waiting on fluid now. i heart my forward facing headers.

Damn, I hate a bad day at the track. Hope everything is better next outing. Glad you did not damage anything either.

Do you have memory on your tach or datalogging? Do you know what the RPM hit?
