Default Holley 300-132: crappy looking casting from china?

I got a Holley single plane manifold from a reputable eBay seller. Got a decent deal on "make offer". I received the manifold and when I opened the box I was shocked, the casting looks of very poor quality, even the "Holley" brand on the manifold looks jenky. At first I thought it was a counterfit, but with a little research I found out that they are made in china. Not happy.

The main reason I bought this was because I wanted a low profile single plane manifold. Should have bought a GMPP (or are they made in china too?). I'm considering returning this. Does anybody have experience with this manifold and could help me making a decision? Thanks!

Did you ever consider the fact that you got such a good deal was because this was a factory reject?

Looks like a pretty nice casting to me:

The seller never stated it was a blemished or rejected one. But that's definitely a possibility. He has good feedback history, so I'll contact him and see what happens.

That's not the only thing Holley has "Made in China"! I used to have a Gmpp intake. Its a nice piece, and works well.

For clarification, it is only the casting that is made in China. The parts are designed and machined in Bowling Green, KY.

The seller refused to replace because the box was sealed when they shipped. I called Holley and sent them a picture. Holley customer service did not disappoint and they are sending a new one tomorrow. Top notch customer service

After getting my L92 victor junior out a while back for a clean up, I was actually amazed at how good the casting, port alignment and overall finish was straight out of the box.

Would never buy anything Holley unless it was one of those new fuel pumps they do, and most certainly not an intake manifold.
