Default possible msd 6010 problems or something else help!

So I was at the track last night and was running 2 classes and 4th round I go to shift into 2nd gear and car starts breaking up and popping out the exhaust and tach is going crazy and continues do so but kinda comes and goes. But everything else in car electrical is fine no lights flickering and volt guage so good the whole time. Motor runs smooth and not missing when idle or reving with no load on it. Motor is a carbd lq4 with ls3 heads and has a 6010 box that I bought new last fall. Thanks for any help

Default ground

I think your box should be grounded to motor are the coils grounded to motor also... been reading about people having ground issues or at high rpms misfiring....they say if you have grounds at different locations its called looped ground or open ground

Check all your grounds. I havn't experienced it personally but I have heard several cases of bad alternators causing boxes to break up. Still charging fine, something else went bad and the RF noise was causing problems.

Well I believe I found the problem the ring terminal on the end of the ground broke and was barely hanging on. Fixed and made a few test hits on the road and seems to be good.
