Show a picture of the top of your engine and where the harness is routed.

It'll be a couple of weeks for this. I was mocking it up on the engine stand.

Like Greg H said, I would have to go over the header flange to make it fit, and i'm not a fan of that. It would have reached, but not right.

I'm using the GPI1 wire as nos retard. Do I install the diode? The instructions are not too clear on that.

One page shows this, no diode:

then the other shows this?

no green, I believe you still need the diode if you are using GPI1,2, or 3. The first picture you posted is a general schematic of the wiring harness with nothing connected. The second picture from the installation guide shows where the diodes are needed when the GPI circuits are used.

The CKP plug will reach, but sure doesn't give you any breathing room, even 12" longer would be a great continuous improvement item. The 24" extension cord did the trick for me, and gave me a neat way to run my starter sol. wire.

Hard to see, but the CKP wire is all the way to the left, you can see the white label, just under the coil wire. There's more going on in these pictures than the smart spark, everything to run the engine is nylon braid wrapped.

After I had some time to warm up to it, I like the harness. My only beef is with the diodes, and the GPI3 not having a lead. I think a 6" wire added there would be a great improvement.

My harness routes from the center of the fire wall, approx 2" behind the block, 2" above the valley pan. I was able to loop the MAP lead back into the car, and tape it off. Where that splits off is where it exits my firewall.

You need to travel over the snow topped mountains, through the 7 layers of the candy cane forest, past the swirly-twirly gumdrop trees, and well... there they are.

How many degrees can you retard the timing in each of the 2 stages.
MSD 6012 is limited to 15.

I'm at the point with my MSD 6012 where I have to drop my base timing because I have all 15degrees pulled and need to pull more.
Thanks

Sorry, I've been away for the board for a bit. The Smart spark can pull 20 degrees per stage of retard..

Sorry to drag this up from the vault, but is there a site vendor that sells this? I see them for sale on Ebay and Competition products, but prefer to help our sponsors when I can.

I haven't read any bad posts about these. Any updates on how they are working out so far?
