Default High rpm with a 6010 box

Hey guys fairly new to this forum, have been on performance trucks for a while. I have a well built 421ci motor in a pulling truck. Its running a msd 6010 box, has new cam and crank sensors, put new coils and harness's in it. The issue I am having is the ignition box seems to kill itself around 7500 rpm. The max rev setting in the box is 8100, installed new tach to verify that it was true and correct. Msd is telling me the box should shut of cylinder by cylinder and they have no idea. My question before jumping into crank triggered ignition is what's the highest rpm that the cam and crank sensors can handle? Ive never turned on this hard but the engine dyno doesn't lie. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

7500-7700 hasn't been an issue here yet.....except for throwing belts, but I got that fixed.(I think)

I would say, you may want to either TRY and 6014 ignition or jump to a Daytona sensors unit. You would not be the first I have heard of having issues above 7500 with a 24x reluctor.

I've heard of this happening to one other guy and it turned out he was losing voltage at max RPM. Make absolutely certain you have excellent power to the box and as always make sure the grounds between the box and motor are what they need to be.

FWIW the 6014 box data logs input voltage.

I dyno'd to 7500 with the Dayton Sensors Smart Spark and it stayed strong and steady. I have nipped the 8000 rev limiter a few times on the street and it felt strong all the way there.

The new MSD 6014 is light years ahead of the old ox including the harness, capability, etc

Maybe a power/voltage issue. On the Daytona system we have had customers turn both 24 and 58 tooth motors 8800-9200 rpm with no issues at over 14.1 cr.
