Default Lsx 454 cam

Anyone use this cam on a lq4 with 799 heads? Is flycutting required with stock gaskets heads are not milled.

Close in specs to mine, but I'm shaved .050, so pretty sure you still need to fly-cut.

LSX Cam
Valve Lift (in.):
0.648 intake / 0.648 exhaust

Camshaft Duration (@.050 in.):
236° intake / 246° exhaust

Ahh, good catch. Still pretty sure you'll need to cut....not 100%, but 90+

Lift + duration = cut

Mine were cut .100 I think...I'd have to look at the Machine shops paperwork again.

BUT, my heads were cut .050, so you may get away with less ?

Maybe someone with a similar combo will chime in ?
