If you had a bone stock SS, where would spend the first 2 or 3 thousand for the best bang for your buck? (or in my case the best bang for MY buck)

Mine went to headers, x-pipe, lid and an initial tune. It was close to 2 g's and well worth it. Its all up to you man.

I was thinking exhaust, cold air, tune, pulley, gears and low temp thermo. Im sure I can keep it cheap and get me in the 12's this year, and next year engine mods and 150 shot!

personally; headers, ory pipe, cutout, injectors(for e85, for future milled heads), ls6 intake, ebay ported throttle body.
that should bring you to $2000

01sscam: How is a moser 9" $2000?, more like $3000

Well for one, they are under 2k used, second, the guy said he wants to spend between 2-3k in his post.... And if you're paying over 3k for a nodular moser 9", you're getting raped.

I was just trying to get a feel for what were some of the best or first things that people were putting on their cars. Bolts-ons, exhaust, suspension, gears, or even free or cheap mods. Basically on a budget mods

Strano springs and konis along with supporting swaybars, update the brakes. Longtube headers, full exhaust then on to the engine stuff.
