Mounted the Billet wheels today.

Now that the camaro is finally on the ground, the suspension will be adjusted up about an inch or so.

Removed the front bumper to do some adjustments.

Finally made my decision on the seats. Will be using F-body seats with some upholstery upgrades to match the interior. No shock factor here on the seat styling, but will have power six position adjustable and the lumbar support required.

Wheels look great! flipped from the first page back to this one and it is amazing what a set of wheels can do for a car.

I agree with Snow, great wheels/tire combo. Care to share the brand/model/tire size? I am jealous that you 69 camaro owners get to "tuck" your wheels/tires with a smaller wheel, looks sweet! my 67 has round wheel openings, need to lower car more to get the same effect... Looks good!

Yeah, those wheels really make it pop. Brilliant work. The interior looks really good, too. I'm a jealous man.

If I didnt own the 69 I have I would definately own a 70-73. Metal bumpers and that killer tail light panel with the rally sport nose on them, awesome!!! Even though there are some beautiful 74-81 Camaros out there I believe they ought to be catergorized like this:
67-68
69
70-73
74-81
82-92
93-97
98-02
of course the 2010-2011
Not taking away from the picture as it would be hard to round all of those years up for a photo shoot. I think it is cool as all to have friends with a common interest with a common car in sort of the same color. And to have them all in one place on a given night for a picture, sweet!

Yeah, I definitely like the 70-73 "missing in pic" as well, cool car.

So I finally took the 69 out for a drive tonight after work, and all I can say is wow, an absolute dream to drive. Will take a video once weather is more favorable. Couldn't be happier with the stance.

One thing I noticed about the drive, but very minimal, was the slight slack in the used 3rd gen Iroc steering box which was installed. This car deserves something new or refurbished. I was thinking something like the Cardone Remanufactured Steering Box.

Has anyone had any experience with this unit?

either get the detroit speed or ATS gear box from speedtech. both are awesome and well worth the money.

Thanks, may consider the ATS unit.

Went to a local show yesterday and now may reconsider my choice of seats after seeing these in a 69 Camaro on display. I could not find the owner while I was there. Does anyone know where I could find a set of covers like these. They looked custom though with extra padding in place.

I dont know who made those seats as those ar not the original frames. I did however see a guy on here that used BMW M3 front seats that looked great in his 69 Firebird vert. Do a search for a 69 t/a vert and you will see. He used a complete GTO interior inside his 69 Firebird including the back seat. It is white with blue stripes, awesome car.

I love the side shot with the new wheels!! Clean car and a great build. Job well done!!!

Those M3 seats look real nice. I ended up going with a set of 4th gen seats a buddy of mine was selling. I modified the headrest to stick to the 69 theme.

I like the suspension kit.

How does it handle wheel hop if you get on it?

Also, does the car handle much tighter then the conventional leaf springs?

Any info would be great. I am liking that kit that you installed.
