im starting my build thread for 2011.
ive got a 98 ss camaro a4
MODLIST - lightend up the car a bit, full boltons, lca, lca drop brackets, magniflow exsaust with cutout and dump after y pipe, panard bar, subframe connectors,5 point rollcage, slp ram air, greg weld skinnies and m/t street radials, batery located to the back with safety switch on back panel.
NEW MODS FOR 2011- swankeengines 415 stroker, patrick G cam, home ported l92 heads, painted ls3 intake,92mm nick williams throttlebody, nitrous 150 shot, sixspeed swap want to bang some gears, mwc 9 inch and pst driveshaft coming this sommer.
projects ive done to the car already over the last 2 years.
first project was i stripped the whole car and painted it the original black and striped out the hood and sprayed it to.my to favorite colors are black and sunset orange so i put both on my car. There was plenty of trial and error.
i then painted some interior pieces and the engine compartment. And once done with that i decided that i really dont like the light gray interiors that came in the 98 cars so i started with welding in the cage first. I then bought an 02 ebony black interior and switched it in. i took the center council top off and bought a piece of leather.I had ss camaro stitched into it so i could stretch it over the council. I mounted the nitrous bottle in the back between the rollcage.
there are lots of small projects to keep me busy but its always the process that is so much fun. Im really getting excited to start my new build. My goals are to run mid to low 10s on motor and 9s with the spray. the car will weigh 3400lbs raceweight if i dont pull seats and other small things.
i will post up pics as soon as possible im workin on it now!

Hey! Good lookin ride you have there! Lol. I'm pretty positive we have the same seats, and I didnt even realize it. I'm a fan
My brackets sucks really bad though. I fabbed them up in a tiny garage with limited tools when I was at school. The keep the seat in the car I guess. What did you do for your brackets? Did you use your stock brackets or fab all knew ones?

the right side i used the stock brackets but on the drivers side its jerry rigged i actually used long shank lugnuts from my greg weld wheels as spacers it works pretty good dont ask how caz i dont know. i used the brackets that came with the seats and i noticed that they where the same seats as yours.

My dads car is driving! You have to put the clutch pedal in to start the automatic though! Haha

i saw in another 6 speed swap they removed just the clutch pedal and ziptied the sensor closed so it would start without pushing the pedal in. i talked to your dad and he said it runs good. i hope my trans swap goes as good as yours.

ha thats funny. I did hear that it popped out of gear and rolled down your drive way and into the ditch across the street. You guys got lucky your car or the magnet wasnt sitting across the road.
