362hp on a "stock" LS1?

Yeah. Hawks longtubes, SLP Maf, ported TB, 160 degree thermostat, LS6 intake (it's 2002 engine). Stock tune, all emission and ac stuff deleted. So I think it's a stock engine.

The dyno place I use, normally tunes rallycars here in Finland. The owner of the place said to me, that the dyno they use is really "hard". What I mean is, that if the dyno shows 362hp, then there really is that amount of power in the engine.

But numbers are only numbers, waiting for the summer so I can take it to the drag strip. Camaro goes like a raped ape, and that's the most important thing!

I am totally in agreement of a 82 - 92 section on here, would be so awesome. I am in the process of finding the right donor for my swap. Can't wait. I do have to give TGO some love though, it's where we all started out. I recognize lots of members who have migrated over here as well. I know there is a great swap section on TGO with tons of veterans, but it would be awesome to have a specific section for us here as well. Great Idea!

It's great to see a lot of familiar cars on here as well! Keep up the good work fellas. Here is a pic of my soon to be LSx powered 86 Iroc.

LOL....yeah this is what you call lazy. Lights were up for so long, I figured what the heck, Christmas is right around the corner.

DeanJ....love the Center Mount Exhaust on your car. I was looking for pics of that tonight, and low and behold, look what I stumbled upon. How did you ever pull that off?

While mine isn't LS powered, I still come here for lots of info so I'd support this. Plus, some beautiful thirdgens in this thread, great inspiration!

So much Interest but where are the mods and administrators ?

Agree if there's a 3G forum the 4g guys would want their own . But appearance and detailing etc etc is full of 4g related topics

Tony (Nineball) and John (Pro Stock John) are two of the three co-founders of ls1tech.com. They sold ls1tech to the same company that owns thirdgen.org, among other similar sites, Internet Brands.

Internet Brands Automotive

I suggested site consolidation a while a go (https://ls1tech.com/forums/racers-lo...olidation.html). It seems some of the content is getting stale, and a shake up that would bring in more ideas and "builds", as opposed to mods, might generate some interest.

There are some interesting things on TGO, and ls1tech (pro-touring type stuff). Generating traffic, that's how they make money.

I really don't see any benefit with a consolidation.

Despite being sold to Internet Brands, the two websites are ran completely different by the mods.

TGO is filled with a bunch of old closed-minded "has-beens" that are condescending to the younger enthusiast.

LS1tech is more progressive with new ideas floating around daily.

Anybody up for a "3rd Gen Car of the Month" poll? This was attempted on TGO but was shut down because the Admin did not like the fact that all the nominated cars where modified LS1's

I'm sure there are close minded people on TGO, but if you haven't noticed LS1TECH has them too. Look at all the flak slammed1500 caught for his project alone.

There are plenty of stale ideas on LS1tech. How many "best cam for a street driver", "best panhard bar/lower control arm", "when will my 10 bolt break" posts have there been? I've lost count over the years.

There lots of interesting project cars in the "conversion/hybrid" and "appearance and detailing" sections, and in other sections too. LPE 403, slammed1500, PUNISHERTA and transamWS6 are doing some interesting things to there cars and posting them on this forum.

Over on TGO you have a guy putting in a C6 front suspension, another guy putting in a C5 IRS, complete with trans axle, a couple of C4 IRS's, and there is a mid-engined camaro.

I'd like to see more of that on this board.

An 82-92 section would be a great idea.

One day, I'll be able to afford an LS swap, but not for a while.

i don't see a reason for it. there is a 67-02 subforum that covers us. an 82-92 subforum would be superfluous
