Default Anyone brave enough for these ebay headers?

Hello all, ive been trolling here awhile, trying to learn some things. I have a 68 Camaro, I just purchased a couple months ago. i bought it as a rolling shell, since then i tore it all the way down and sandblasted the whole shell. I painted the bottom with POR15 and reassembled it to a rolling state. bought an 06 LQ4 and the GM musclecar pan, the hooker header engine swap plates, and poly motor mounts. I was checking ebay for header options and found these.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-69-Cama...b60d28&vxp=mtr

They are incredibly cheap, but for what I am doing, if they bolted in I would be happy. I dont plan on having these long, just long enought to get the car going and get some miles on it. Just wondering if anyone was brave enough to try the ebay special, and how/if they fit.

Most people on this forum like their ebay headers for the money. I bought, LPP headers, basically ebay headers, they fit ok and leak at the collector and all other slip fit joints. I have the y pipe also.

Yeah a lot of people have no problems with their ebay headers, I even know people who have more trouble with Pacesetters than Ebay ones lol

Interesting. I will probably give them a shot. My main concern was clearing the steering box.

I have the 1 7/8" Dynatech's (about $400).... fit fine but 2 plug wires are tight and could use a 90* boot on them. They clear my manual steering box just fine.

Got them from a site sponsor here www.skspeed.com/

I know a lot of people say those headers are good for how much they cost. I've also read about guys having to bend them to make the headers fit. Personally, I wouldn't chance it. I'd spend a little bit more and get some Hookers or Pacesetters.

I've got ebay headers on my '99 Z28 and they've been great for how much I paid for them. The only thing that's happened to them is the tube for the EGR broke off but since I don't have EGR anymore that wasn't a problem lol.

I was wondering if you had tried these yet? I'm waiting for the ceramic coated ones to re-appear on ebay, for my 74 nova. But if you have any updates on how they fit, I'd appreciate it.

Well I bought them and they seem to fit pretty well, but i bought the painted ones so I could cut and weld if i had to. On the drivers side I had to heat them up and hammer the 2nd pipe on the drivers side to clear the steering box. It didnt take much. To me they were worth the less than $200

Hello 1985gsl,
Could you please give us some details on your swap.. like what specific car, which swap mounts and oil pan did you use? Thanks in advance.

P.S.
Pics are always good too!

I dunno, if it sounds to good to be true than it usually means it is. I didnt buy them just on principle alone. I'm going with the tried and true hookers! While investing in local (US) businesses. These are bad ***! next paycheck baby!
