Super short throw MGW

New UMI upper control arms did the trick. Front wheels are now tucked back under the fender.

Draining 9 gallons of old gas out with the fuel pump.

This is what the car looked like before the color change!

Pictures from the previous owner.

In the shop for paint.

All buttoned up.

Had to wash off months worth of dust.

Now I'm waiting on a remote tune from Patrick Guerra. I have HP tuners Pro and an AEM wideband in the car so I edited my previous tune to idle and run the car to check for leaks. Car idles great but waiting on the actual tune from Pat G to drive the car. It's been a little over 3 weeks but I'm being patient. I've read a lot of good things about him.

I have the stage 2.5 243 heads. They're 227's. We'll see how much power these will make and later I may step up to their actual cast ported 237's.

I made 507rwhp with ported 243's on my 416 and then went to the 247s and make 577 now. Solid gain just from heads imo lol

Put about 150 miles on the engine. Car is definitely making plenty of power. Going to make a two hour round trip to a Cars and Coffee meet in Baton Rouge this Saturday. Hope to break in the new engine in time to make some passes at SCR in a couple of weeks.

Thanks guys. I'm also looking into some type of vacuum pump for this setup.

Thanks, I forgot I stripped one of the bolts on the exhaust clamp that holds the joint between the collector and x pipe so it came loose. I didn't notice the exhaust got louder but it threw a code. After I fixed that, I was focused on data logging it for Patrick G. Break in drive was awesome. I've been lucky enough not to have any issues thus far.

Thanks, I really like NA power and will probably do a wet shot on this setup later on.
