Sounds like a good plan. Looks like a nice car

My first Camaro was a gray 3rd Gen, I've always liked gray 3rd Gen's.

How was your car equipped from the factory?
305 or 355 speed or auto?
Disc or drum rear brakes?

3rd Gens were the best looking Camaro's. I had a 1991 Z/28 Convertible, 305 TPI 5-Speed, Bright Red with Red interior and a black top. Still wish I owned that one.

I'm not as familiar w/ the 3rd-gens, going mainly from memory after years of wanting to buy one and watching what options were offered as years wore on. But I didn't think you could get a 5-speed in a 3rd gen 'vert. One of the reasons I was so happy when the 4th gen 'verts came out in '94 w/ a M6 optional. My recollection is that the 5.7L was not optional w/ a MT or in the 'verts, and the M5 was not available in the 'verts. Please, enlighten me.

That's a sweet car even just by the RPO codes

My fiancee's son has been slowly bringing a 91 Z28 back from the brink. It's similar but had drum rear brakes originally.

im still debating on what transmission . its got a 700r4 from the factory i could rebuild . i havent heard much about these behind a 6.0 with turbo . im leaning toward a 4l80 instead of a th400 for overdrive . any ideas ?

I’d suggest the 4L80 or go with a T56 magnum for some fun.
