Our relative humidity right now is 48% which is low for this time of the year so I'll take it if it means getting come rains. One good thing about high pressure is that hurricanes stay away..It's expected to move Northwest which will help our rain chances for the weekend but these 104° days are brutal.

The car's has been up on my friends lift for the past couple of months so we could install the ARB and the weld in MWC SFC's. Just about finished and I'll just go ahead and throw this out there that I think the BMR boxed in SFC's that can be bolted and welded in are a better design then the MWC weld on. I have the BMR's on my SS and like how they incorporate the LCA brackets and those are what takes the abuse when launching the car. The metal there is thin and BMR addressed the issue with their design so I'm going to have to come up with a way to reinforce those areas or the bolt holes will just get worn out.

Another thing I noticed was the torque arm and driveshaft loop cross member looks to be off or built incorrectly. Has anyone else that's had one of these for the MWC Fab 9 ever noticed this? I tried contacting MWC by phone yesterday but with the holidays and all I was unsuccessful. Ended up sending pictures to them via email so hopefully they can shed some light on this. If i cut and re-weld the right side to raise it up on the bracket and add a spacer under the left side of the bracket this will get it level and I could slot the bracket in order to move it to the right some and get it away from the driveshaft more.

Midwest Chassis stated that nothing was wrong and that they didn't want a bend in the crossover which I can understand. They stated that the loop was positioned to give as much room as possible when dropping the rearend but I still feel that it's too close for comfort. You can't even reach the first knuckle on your index finger! All I can say is that change is coming.

That's correct it's the SJM ABS delete kit.

Yeah and go braided lines on the whole thing. Having to do those inverted flares on the old brittle lines was no fun. Luckily so far no leaks but I'm definetly making the move towards the braided lines at some point.

I ended up replacing and rebending all my front lines. If they leak again its getting swapped to braid.

The flares were just dumb

Ended up cutting off the bracket on the right side in order to raise that side of the cross-member flush with the top of the bracket instead of at the bottom of the bracket. This raised it about 3/4" which brought it closer to level. This brought the connecting arm for the torque arm closer to plumb and it took some of the bind away from there which was also a good thing. I had also removed the driveshaft loop and moved it to the right about a 3/4" to get it closer to the center of the driveshaft. Plenty of room for the driveshaft now and I can still remove the driveshaft without removing the driveshaft loop. The before and after pictures tells it all.

I'll be getting this over to Pat G in the coming month to see what it's going to make. I'm shooting for 500 whp but that's probably stretching it on a 12.5:1 LQ9 with an LS3 topend and VP MS109.

I wouldn't get too caught up in the dyno numbers... I bet it will run VERY good. The track tells the truth about the complete build !
