A V6 will simply never sound like the LS1 in your WS6. It just won't happen. You can get the 3.8 in her car to idle low and grumble a little like a V8, but once you start driving it will always still sound like the 6 that it is. Maybe a bit lower and louder than stock, but you'll still know it.
If she wants to get her car to sound as mean as possible, look into getting some Pacesetter headers for it (which supposedly the V6 reacts well to), along with maybe a Flowmaster or Hooker catback. I've heard both of those on V6s and they sound pretty good.
Thunderracing has parts and even an entire section for the V6 F-bodies, go ahead and check it out.

She is asking for the impossibile. Unless of course, you are willing to buy her an LS1 crate motor for her birthday.

make a V6 sound like a cammed/header V8 with huge duals dumped off,
BTW: There's a girl out here with headers and flowmaster duals dumped on her V6 bird...good chance a ricer would mistake it for a V8.

I saw a flowmaster exhaust system for the V-6 camaros on horsepower TV a few months ago. It contains a resinator at the end of the exhaust system that kind of gives the V-6 the rumble of the V-8. I can't remember what the name of the kit is, but I'm sure you can find it on flowmaster's website.

Duals would sound way better than any cat-back, but I'm sure you know that since you've probably had both on your car. I wonder what duals with sweet thunders would sound like on a V6, that would be my bet for best sounding!

i had the rksport exhaust on my 3.4, never sounded like a v8 but added a nice little growl to it and felt a little less restricted too....but i think a flow-bastard would have a deeper sound than that system. I think it's awesome what your girl is trying to do, she's a keeper. Good luck.

The B&B Tri-Flo exhaust is the best V6 exhaust I've ever heard. I had it on my '98 3.8L Camaro and absolutely loved it. I got compliments on it all the time, and I was really happy with the sound from idle to redline.

i had a flowmaster 80s series muffler on my car hooked up to the stock pipes. I cut the muffler off at the intrance and sold it, including my tailpipes and tips to a friend for his 3.8 Firebird. It sounded alot like a V8 when idling but when he gets on it, u can deffinetly tell its a V6. If ur gonna do this make sure u get the 80s series muffler and big tips, i had 4 in. Oh yeah and any girl who drives an F-Body is a keeper.
