Saw a very rare f-body this morning
It was a purple 98Z convertible, one of only 14 made!
He was driving it in the snow today too! I don't know if I'd take that risk myself, especially in rush hour when some idiot might smash into you.

Yep, Bright Green Formulas are super rare too, only 34 of them were made. Purple is the rarest Formula color in 98, only 26 were made. My old BGC was one of 124 for 98.
Interesting side note: two weeks after I placed my order for my 98 Formula, before it was preferenced, I almost changed the order to bright green.

I see this ugly *** tropical aqua colored camaro driving around my hood. Its an older V6, maybe a '94 or '95. I don't know what the numbers are on that color, i have only seen that one car with it, thank god. It looks like it belongs in a fish tank or something.

A guy in my car club (who goes by Warbird on here) has a very rare car too. One of one.
He has the ONLY NBM 1998 Formula WS6. That color wasn't originally offered on the WS6 that year, but somehow his car got built, after his order was bounced a number of times, but he kept insisting that ASC simply "paint the damn hood!" After his car was built, they then made 16 other WS6s in NBM that year, but all of them were TAs. His is the only Formula WS6. Then in 99 they added NBM on the WS6 color list.

Most people don't know this, but they made a few rare 99Zs in gold (5 of them to be exact). They were supposed to be given away in a contest with Days Inn. Here is more info on that, courtesty of CamaroZ28.com:

quote:
** A total of 5 Z28 Coupes were built in the 1999 model year in color 63U Sport Gold metallic. While Sport Gold was discontinued near the end of the model run in 1998, a contract had been signed between Chevrolet and Days Inn for a sweepstakes where the final prize was a Sport Gold Z28 Coupe. While the sweepstakes ran in the spring and summer of '98, the contract specified a 1999 Z28. Thus Ste. Therese built 5 1999s for this sweepstakes. Two units were given away, the other three were driven by GM executives and then disposed of through the GM auction system.

Re: Saw a very rare f-body this morning
There is an MFBA member with a gold on black Trans Am convertible. Very rare combo.
Even more rarer is gold with the tan top on a convertible. The reason it's rare is because the combo is FUGLY.
