260hp with a higher torque rating that the f-body version. Other than a higher amp alt and better cooling, theres nothing different. Now thats a chevy. As far as I'm aware the only vehicle actually called a "Police Intereptor" by a mfg, is the Ford Crown Vic, which is something like 215 hp. Chevy just went with the "Police Package" naming... but since your on a Gm site, you're probably talking about the caprice anyway.

North Carolina has 100 LS1 Camaros modified to 380hp.
South Carolina uses mostly unmarked and MANY varied colored LS1 Camaros, as well. Compeltely unmarked and if I remember correctly, lights fold down from the ceiling into the windshield. Nothing is visible at all. I've seen black, white, maroon, green, silver, and red on I-95 and I-22 heading from NC to Charleston, SC.

Just a side note I thought it was cool, when I was with my friend down in SC this past weekend picking up my car, we saw a TON of B4C police cars. There was one that had an aftermarket billet grill and some different wheels. Just had the badging of the local police on the side. We thought it was neat, up here in NJ we got boring stuff.
