Default value of 1994-96 LT1 Camaro?

How much would a 1994-1996 Z28 LT1 camaro go for with about 60,000 miles? I'm thinking about selling my current Z28(1991) and hoping to have enough to buy an LT1. The car I have now I figure I could sell for about $5,000 and then if i needed a little more I could just put back some money.

www.KBB.com 's estimates for private party sales value for a 1995 Z28 with 6-speed manual transmission are $5,275 for Excellent condition, and $4,850 for Good condition

Sweet man thanks, right in my price range, I love the LT1 sound and speed, and just everything about the way it drives. Sure an LS1 is faster, but the LT1 still owns.

Yeah, all I've done so far is read about it, would like to actually try eventually

Convertibles do tend to hold their value a lot more than coupes... could be over-priced on top of that, too. (My KBB estimates were for coupes.)

Couldn't hurt to give that Formula a look. (Unless you're dead set on getting a Camaro. )

I did give it a look, its a 1994 black formula LT1 auto with 62,000 miles on it. I test drove it and i really liked the way it drove. its at the dealership down the street from me. Really friendly place, but i really want a camaro, and i also really want a 6-speed. Theres also something about the front end of 93-97 formula/trans ams that I dont really like. It may seem that i'm really picky but I want a car that i'm completely satisfied with.

Definitely keep looking for something right to come along, then!

You might want to try searching online at sites such as www.autotrader.com (there's lots of others, that's just the first one to come to mind) also, instead of just looking in the newspaper - usually get a lot more choices that way

Definitely do not settle for something you don't want.

I cant find any LT1s for less than like 9-10 grand for some retarded reason..the cheapest one I found besides that 4950 firebird formula was a 1996 LT1 6 speed with 150,000 miles for like 6000..why do the prices raise when i look for one? try a search on autotrader.com in 61821 to see what i mean.

Don't know why they're so high, dang...

Here's some possibilities I found - 93-97 Camaro LT1, manual (or unknown), under $8000, and within 200 miles (helps to widen the search some geographically when it's narrower on what you're looking for)

Eh, I wouldn't dismiss it that easy, the purples are an uncommon color... get something you like, shouldn't matter what anyone else has or doesn't have

Wow , remind me to never buy a car in PA. I bought the missus a super clean 2001 T/A with 48,000 miles and loaded with just about every option except the WS6 package for 14,900.00 It's been recent enough on the purchase that the first payment isn't even due yet. They do think rather highly of F-bodies in your neck of the woods!

PA?? im from Illinois. It just seems that all of the prices raised as soon as I started looking for one. Just this winter my friend bought a 1995 Z28 A4 with 60,000 miles for 5500$, now they are all like 9000$
