Default best sbc headers for 69 camaro

Who has used what? What has lasted well? Plug access?

My ceramic coated dynomax headers are terrible (had them for about 4 years).
I have straight plug heads and the headers have to be loosened to get to cylinders 5 & 6 spark plugs. Also the tubes are swept back and you cannot get to the bolts very well. Just seeing what you guys suggest.

THANKS!!
Nick

Stainless works headers or Headman would be my choices.

Hedman are very nice headers IMHO. Depending on your power combo, I'd rec. their square tube 1-3/4" with 3" collectors. I have a set and am very pleased with them

Do you guys recommend hedman for 2nd gens? I have a 79, am looking for a good set of headers. I don't like an obnoxious sound though, I like power where it counts. Thats why I'm getting rid of the flowsters on there, plus they are rusted to garbage and cut from the mufflers back so it looks like i dont have an exhaust, and hence get pulled over 24/7

headers aren't going to necessarily make more noise, that's where the rest of the exhaust comes in. I had a 5 hp increase from 1-5/8 flowtech headers to the hedman 1-3/4's on my Nova (same part # as 67-69 Camaro) on a small block that ran high 11s and made about 325 rwhp.

If you plan on keeping the car and don't mind the cost , get stainless steel headers. You won't have to replace 'em again!

Another vote for Hooker Super Comps, I can reach all my plugs etc. A real pain to put in. Passenger side was cake, drivers side you will need to remove the steering box. Meh, not too bad tho.
