Was the F1 an actual camaro that was made in limited numbers? I thought it was just an appearance package that could be added. But, my friend swears he knows a guy with an "F1" camaro-1994 i think- thats supposed to be one out of like 400 made, and its supposed to have alot more power & racing suspension from the factory. Whats the true story?

It's a kit from GM that is no longer available. It comes with suspension ,exhaust, intake and body upgrades. The kit professionally installed and painted ran about $7,000.00. It's my understanding that GM sold less than 1,000 of these kits.
The F-1 kit was sold through the dealer parts department. It was installed on a few by the dealers to aid in the sale of the car. But I doubt your car has it,unless you put it on the car yourself. The kit is no longer available from GM.
You could order the GFX kit from GMMP and install it yourself or have the dealer do it. I think they had an intake and exhaust opton for the V6's too. I only ever knew of the girl I worked with having a dealer installed package. I haven't seen another one around.

Found a few more photos of someone else's car (added the link to my earlier post - http://www.geocities.com/jz2822/F1.htm )... looks like regular lights on here, so I'm pretty sure the owner of the 'ls1z28' one changed them

F1's just had regular lights. A girl I used to work with about 8 years ago got a 97 30th anniversary Z28 with the F1 package on it from the dealer. I wish I knew what happened to it as I didn't realize how rare the package was. It looked really sharp on the white car with the orange stripes. The only thing it was missing that I would have wanted was the houndstooth interior and a 6 speed.
