I haven't recieved a ticket in my formula as of yet (knock on wood)...
I HAVE been pulled over in it... only twice that I can remember, the first time was 96 in a 65... verbal warning. The crazy thing about that... I never saw where the cop came from, and I have great copdar... this was about 12:30 am on the highway.
Never seeing the cop, when I saw some headlights coming up quick and pacing me... my first instinct was to drop to 4th and take the **** off. I thought it was just some punk *** pacing me. But I hesitated for a moment while looking in the mirror and realized hey wait a second... BAM lights go off. It was ******* cold outside and pretty much the cop just told me I had a nice car, but I can't be stretching it out on the highway or I'll get killed. That was thoughtful of him!

The second time I ran a red light, on purpose... it was pretty damn red too. I was running late for work. I actually went around the car that was in front of me to go to the other lane to go through the intersection. The cop stated that the light had been red for approximately 3 seconds Got a warning... and on top of that my inspection was out and I had open headers at the time

Oh yeah... and I got pulled over by campus police once... not like that even matters.

87 in a 45 this past monday. I was 2 miles from my house on a road that I have never seen a cop on. It was a state cop and he was parked in somebodies driveway with the radar on. He wrote me for the whole deal too. First speeding ticket Ive ever had.

There is a nice straight away coming out of the local gas station. I let it rip coming out of there! I had just shifted into 4th when i saw lights come on behind me out. I pulled over right away and this old state (that's right a state trooper) who looked exactly like that old marine guy who plays on the history channel answering questions. Anyway he didn't say a word just held his hand out took my id and reg went back to his cruser and came back after 5mins. Gave me my id back and then asked me where my county sticker was. I told him i had just got the car and had just got back from getting an inspection. I showed him the inpection reciept and then started to ask him a question and he just held his hand up telling me not to talk!! LOL...He then told me "If you want to keep any tread on those tires i'd suggest you slow down!"...then he walked off. I was confused so as he was walking away from me i leaned out my window and asked him if he was letting me go and he just waved his hand at me to get on down the road. LOL I had to have been doing 120mph! this is when i had 3.42s... I was shocked!

some of you guys are insane! I don't speed much anymore....maybe 75-80 in a 65 on occasion, mainly because I have had a few close calls...

One I can think of is when I was doing about 65 in a 25....Cop always sits there clocking people, and to my luck he was just turning into his spot and was not facing me so I got lucky...

Another was about 85 in a 35 on a bridge at night with no traffic got into a nice race with a mustang...after I hit the brakes to slow back down to about 45 I saw a cop go by on the other side of the barrier on the bridge...that was the last time I have gone that far over the limit and been stupid...

Default good lawyer

doing 112 in a 65 then slowed down to about 80 when i see a CHP come in behind me. after he pulls me over he says you know you were going better than a hundred back there. im like yes sir. he wrote it for 80 in a 65 since he clocked me at 80. then see theres this lawyer in san diego where you pay him $100 and he goes to court for you and if the cop shows up, he askes for a continueance, next time cop doesnt show he askes for case dismissal. final price $100 no points no school no insurance costs. now thats a deal.

at the time i was riding a Honda CBR600F4i sportbike when i got the ticket

I'm picturing this conversation...

"Do you know how fast you were going back there?"
"Uhh... no, officer... could you tell me?"
"I clocked you doing 115."
"YES!!!"

My best was 106 in a 70... no match for some of the high numbers already posted, but I was just glad he hadn't clocked me at 30mph faster. Highway 5 in Northern CA is an evil temptress.

yeaaa pretty sure the cop never gave me a chance to speak, i was in an olds aurora 4.0 v8 my ma's car, and it speeds easier than crap. i tried to sweet talk, state dick, said he didnt want to hear it. at least iowa is only like a 56 dollar ticket for 74 in a 55. plus it never hit insurance, south dakota citizen. i have been pulled over a lot, but rarely ever in my camaro. thatll probably change with my new one though

I got a 90 in a 65 which was great seeing as I was actually doing about 120. He also gave me failure to signal change of lanes and no registration since I didn't have a plate. Gave it to a lawyer got all three dismissed. THANK YOU ROBERT S. GREGG. I did get the talk for about 30 minutes how if I wanted to kill myself I should do it somewhere else with nobody else around and how inconsiderate I was and blah blah blah. I've had a buttload of tickets but always in different counties and always been able to take deffered or defensive driving but luck has it I have never had my radar detector with me or had it on when I got the tickets maybe I wouldn't have got pulled over otherwise. How about you guys?? anyone actually using a copdar when you got busted?
