The Challenger looks better then the Camaro. Ya really need to give it that. Powerwise (and weight wise) the Camaro will definitely have the edge. With the LS2 as a base V8 engine and the new 6.2L becoming the optional V8 as said by GM's Bob Lutz. The GTO will be on the same platform as the new Camaro and will be using the same powertrain. Unless the Camaro changes from prototype form I will be buying my first "new" Mopar, the Challenger.

Shape the new camaro just like the 1969 camaro, and make the new one in a base, ss and z28 options with at least three engine choices. For instantance, the v6 for insurance reasons, and the ls2 for the z28, and the ls7 for the ss but call it a 427 instead of ls7, and price them right, and i think we can say good bye mustang and challanger. Thats Just My Opinion. But I am Only a student in college studying engineering, and knows a ton about cars. I mean come on, who buys camaros, usually the young guys getting out of college. Maybe they should get rid of some of those old guys that design these things and put some young fresh brains in there.
Just think for a min, which year was the absolute best year for the camaro? 1969, and which camaros are the hottest ones on the market right now? 1969 come on engineers, THINK. Make it look closer to the 69.

Personally I prefer the look of the Challenger over the Camaro. But then again, I like larger cars. I'm a Chevy guy and not really crazy about Chrysler products. I plan on buying which ever one is faster and easiest to mod.

Yeah the people that don't like the concept are just haters
It's called having an opinion and not being a sheep. Gee GM put it out so I HAVE to like it. ![Icon Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_rolleyes.gif)
I personally like the look of the Challenger better. I think the concept interior in the concept is just awful looking. Not to mention the Camaro isn't coming out until what? '09? '10?

I am saving for both! haha... The Challenger was the first car I fell in love with, went to the dodge dealer in 1993 and all they had were trucks and little front wheel drive cars. Ended up buying a used 1993 Z28 a year or so later because the scoops reminded me of the challenegr R/T scoops. I ended up buying 4 more different Camaro's from there to here, so I am truly torn and plan on getting one of each, probably after they straighten out the special edition models.

to me they both look simular.. either way the mustang, challenger, and camaro are pretty much based of the same design back in the day and now the are looking more boxier and bout the same.. of course id rather have the camaro for obvious reasons.. but the challenger or charger whatever it is ... is not bad looking.. well just have to see which one out does the other when they are made.. cant base things off of concepts... we all know that guys.. and they will prolly be overated like most of mopar's finest work hahahahaha

The Camaro could look a lot different in real life, face to face. I know I loved the looks of the avalanch concepts and pre-production show pics. When I actually saw one on the lot it did not look as good. Maybe the camaro will look better in person. No matter what Gm V-8's are always better because their is a ton of aftermarket products for them.

I personally like the looks of the new challenger better. Thats a good thing though because I'm sure I'll get a good look at it in my rear view! Chevy has always made better muscle than any of the other manufacturers.

Man I go to one board where they seem to love it (camaro z28) to another where there aren't many fans. I personally love the concept. It was ok on paper but when i saw it in person in chicago it was one of the greatest things I've ever laid my eyes on. The lines and size of the car are perfect. Too many people are worried about wheels size and all which can be changed. Personally I think this will be the one gm car that won't change much going into production if and when it does. From what i've been hearing it's on the fast track. It will easily blow the challenger away, that car is huge, you my as well buy a magnum or charger. Also the challenger is more retro than the camaro concept so how can people complain about a new 69 camaro and say the challenger is better when all it is, is a new 70 challenger. I understand everyone has their own opinion but this is just my take on the car. Don't knock it until you see it in person, i truely think many of you will change your minds.

While it shares some similarities as the 69 Camaro is not even close to being retro like the Challenger. Hell GM even said it's not that retro.
Personally I hope they change the interior, the concept interior is just terrible.
