I've always wanted a old project car but I have a 4th gen I love and my g/f has a 3rd gen fbody project and they are so cool too.

It comes down to what you want from the car more so then anything.

I have always wanted to restore a 73 Z28. I would paint it hugger orange w/ ghost flamed rally stripes and make it a pro tourer

1969 Camaro SS. black, with three coats of clear coat, and a little pearl. no spoiler, just a white bumble bee strip on the front clip. 396-454 big block. black interior with wood grain dash and steering wheel. 18" american raceing tourque thrust two wheels. T56 six speed (dont know if that would bolt up to the big block, but it would be kewl anyways) with 4.10 gear in the back. black vinel top. tented windows. chrome trim. 200 shot. 850 double pumper. 315/45 tires. i could go on and on, but i think you get the idea...

It depends on a few factors, like budget and what you expect of the car itself . What kind of money do you plan on spending? How much work do you plan to put into it?

67 with really trick suspension. Twin turbo ls1 with a 6 speed. Or you could get an ultra cool 302 69 z28...

well some day i will have a 67 -68 camaro convertible. art morrison is making full frames for muscle car unibodies with the vette suspension and i will have one. i think a supercharger on an ls1 t56 combo would be great and then the interior from a 2002 ss including the dash and what i can mount out of the door panels. throw some 18 inch boyd smoothies on her. i will be sitting in a new car but stepping out of one of the coolest body styles in history.

If you have the money, get a 1969, Absolutely the most popular year and there are a lot of parts available out there for it.

I would say a 70-73 split bumper camaro. Those things look mean. Definitely my favorite model, plus you don't see too many of those, at least I don't. There are so many first gens out there, not saying they're not nice and all, but a 70-73 split bumper would stand out more.

1969 Convertable without a doubt (check sig). I have had this car for 22 years and no it is not for sale!! Currently going thru the car again for my son who just turned 15. My second choice for a resto would be a third gen car. I believe they are the "69" of the future. Just my .02 worth.

70-73 is supposed to big the next big money years for the Camaro. If you do it now, you might just time it right. You see WAY TOO MANY '69s - be different and at least go '67... you get the vent windows

My next project will be a 70-73 with a big cube LSx.

I would build a 68 camaro, red I think, with racing black strips and a black vinyl top. Put some 17" torque Thrust II's on it and lower it using QA1 12 adjutable coilovers to make it sit right. And then have a built 355 roller motor with heads and a cam. And..........Oh ya, I have started my dream car allready
