I found this 2000 Z for sale on autotrader

The deal looks kinda sketchy to me. It starts out by saying that the car isnt a fake Z, for its year and decent condition its a really low price. Also I cant find the antenna on it at all, and i know v8 camaros have them Either its beat to **** or its fake?

 

It's a high mileage car, so that price is about right.

 

I'm with Hobb3s, the car is a z28, not sure what they did to the antenna but it's got the ls1. Reason for the price is high mileage.

 

It's a no-go if there's no antenna!!

 

The car has probably had an electric antenna installed in it. With the key turned off the antenna would be retracted and you wouldn't be able to see it. Call the dealer and ask.

 

Playing with your Z's antenna is what keeps me going! Mine needs one too

 

It probably doesn't show well in person. Nothing terribly objectionable but dull paint, chips, maybe some odd sounds, dirty carpet, broken trim, stuff like that you can't see in the pics.

Looks like it was a year round driver so maybe some underbody rust / winter wear. Toss in the mileage, automatic, and an unpopular color and your at 7k.

 

That's my thoughts on it as well.

I'd probbly pass it up myself if i was in the market unless i was ready to shell out a few K more day of buying.

I spent a bit more then I could have but I got the Z i wanted and even though some say I over paid I got a car that in theory I could leave stock and love.

Key word was in theory

 

Looks like a halfway decent deal. It's probably a power antennae and they retract when the key is off.

so you're saying v6 camaro's don't have antenna's?

 

you can see the where the antenna mast screws in in the picture someone probably stole it or forgot to put it back on.
